17/05/2017I already own the SRT 7, so making the leap to this updated GT model required little effort, as its a great light. As with other GT upgrades, the 7’s is a great uplift in a number or areas, so you will not be disappointed. The throw is clearly improved, & the secondary (Green blue, red) LED’s have also been improved and have an obvious/visible increase in output. Plus you get an IR LED. But what is without question the best aspect of this light is the UI, it is possibly the easiest and simplest flashlight to use, (especially for those who have no inclination to read the instructions), as there are no button sequences to learn, not hidden functions to discover. Simply click it on, and twist to find all the various options. As with other Nitecore lights, this model is well-made, robust, and a quality product. – You are very unlikely to be dissatisfied with any aspect of this new light.
Description
The Nitecore SRT7GT builds on the award winning SRT7 design, with new features for 2017.
Featuring a Cree XP-L HI V3 LED with a maximum output of 1000 lumens and a range of up to 450 meters, the SRT7GT has a longer throw than most torches in its class while retaining a compact form factor. Powered by a single 18650 Li-ion battery (recommended for best runtimes) or a pair of CR123A.
In addition to the main white light, the SRT7GT also boasts Red, Green, Blue and Ultraviolet outputs as well as strobe and beacon modes. These modes are selected using the third generation smart selector ring, which offers swift access and easy single handed operation. The selector ring can also adjust the brightness of the white light from 0 to 1000 lumens with unique dimmer action.
The coloured outputs allow for a multitude of applications including:
Red Light: Protects night vision
Green Light: Hunting and document checking
Blue Light: Tracking and inspection
Ultraviolet Light: Medical, jewellery, document and currency inspection.
Other features of the SRT7-GT include an optics lens with anti-reflective coating, two way removable titanium plated pocket clip and onboard power indicator.
Compatible with Nitecore 40mm accessories including filters, traffic wands and diffusers. Also fits the RSW1 remote pressure switch and GM02 gun mount.
Includes: holster, pocket clip, tactical ring, wrist lanyard, spare o-ring, spare tail cap switch, 2 x CR123 single use batteries.
