The Nitecore EA42 flashlight is the latest addition to the Explorer series, which offers compact and lightweight torches that are ideal for everyday carry. The EA42 has a maximum output of 1800 lumens from the Cree XHP35 HD LED and is powered by 4 x AA batteries. The light can take either NiMH or alkaline (included) cells. This makes it ideal for travelling where battery restrictions may apply but a high power light is still required.

The EA42 is a high intensity spotlight, offering five brightness levels ranging from 1 to 1800 lumens. In addition, the torch features a strobe, SOS and location beacon mode making it perfect for walking, outdoor exploration, search and rescue and emergency situations. The flashlight has Nitecore's Precision Digital Optics Technology to provide excellent performance with a peak beam intensity of 31200 cd and a beam throw up to 353 meters.

The torch is made up of a 40mm round head and flat tube polycarbonate body for ultimate grip and secure carry, featuring a knurling design to prevent slipping and rolling when set down.

The five brightness levels and three special modes are accessed by a dual-switch design which allows for one handed operation and direct access to turbo mode. Featuring a power and mode button, the EA42 has a user-friendly interface which ensures you can quickly reach the desired output, especially in emergency situations. By pressing both switches simultaneously the EA42 can be locked to prevent accidental operation and a blue light inside the switches displays the battery voltage as a series of flashes.

Turbo: 1800 lumens - 30 minutes runtime
High: 850 lumens - 1 hour 45 minutes runtime
Medium: 300 lumens - 4 hours 45 minutes runtime
Low: 55 lumens - 20 hours runtime
Ultralow: 1 lumen - 280 hours runtime

Plus Strobe, SOS and Location Beacon (each at 1800 lumens).

The EA42 is compatible with 40mm Nitecore accessories, including the NF40 filter, NTW40 traffic wand and NDF40 diffuser.

Maximum beam distance 353 meters, waterproof to IPX8 and resistant to impacts up to 1.5 meters.
