The Olight X9R Marauder is an extremely powerful flashlight, and the highest output of any torch yet from Olight with a scorching output of 25,000 lumens! The X9R has a 6 x Cree XHP70.2 LEDs, housed in individual orange peel reflectors for a wall of light that has a range of up to 630 meters (2067 feet).

The X9R is a big light and weighing in at 1.8kg is not exactly lightweight, yet despite its size the X9R is surprisingly comfortable to hold thanks to the rubber coated finger grooves and  balanced weight distribution. There is also a padded nylon shoulder strap included, which attaches to a retractable blue anodised fixture point at the front and another anodised ring at the rear of the light. An added bonus of this lights extra bulk is the huge cooling fins, which are essential in a light of this power to keep things cool.

The X9R is rechargeable and features a removable 6000mAh battery pack (8 x 18650 / 14.4V) that can be charged by plugging the supplied adapter into the charging point next to the power switch. All X9R sold by Flashaholics will include a genuine UK plug and additional 12V adapter for charging on the move. Charging time is approximately 4 hours.

The X9R is operated by a single side switch which is surrounded by a blue anodised ring. The user interface is very intuitive with shortcuts to Turbo, Low and Strobe modes. To each side of the power switch is a user display that shows the current brightness level on the left hand side and remaining battery power on the right. Proximity sensors in the head of the light automatically dim the light when it is close to nearby objects or stood head down.

Each Olight X9R comes in a substantial carry case (41cm x 34cm x 15cm) with foam inserts and cut-outs to hold the torch, chargers and shoulder strap. There is also an included removable anti-roll ring that fits onto the head of the light and prevents it rolling off uneven surfaces. The case is waterproof and dust proof and nicely branded.

Mode 8: 25,000 lumens - 3 minutes runtime (Please note, the output drops to 6,400 lumens for 100 minutes after 3 minutes to avoid overheating)
Mode 7: 12,800 lumens - 10 minutes runtime (Please note, the output drops to 6,400 lumens for 90 minutes after 10 minutes to avoid overheating)
Mode 6: 6,400 lumens - 2 hours runtime
Mode 5: 3,200 lumens - 4 hours runtime
Mode 4: 1,600 lumens - 8 hours runtime
Mode 3: 800 lumens - 12 hours runtime
Mode 2: 400 lumens - 19 hours runtime
Mode 1: 200 lumens - 27 hours runtime

Plus Strobe mode (12,800 lumens).
