Bought with the white version as well; they do an excellent job in giving diffuse lighting to a small area, say a one-person tent, and they might be of use as a traffic wand (wouldn't know about that, not had to do that - yet), but they add more usability to the S1R Mk1 that I own, and that was why they were bought. Spot on (sorry, pun not intended- much!) target!
