The Nitecore LR12 is one of the most innovative lights we have seen for years combining a high power flashlight with a retractable lantern!  Specially designed for the outdoor market, the LR12 saves space and weight by combining a high power LED torch and lantern into a single device.

Featuring a Cree XP-L HD V6 LED, with a maximum output of 1000 lumens and a range of up to 166 meters thanks to the precision digital optics reflector.

To turn the LR12 into a lantern simply twist the base, which extends the diffuser section for 360 degree flood lighting. The light has a metal hoop so it can be suspended and also a magnetic base and tail stand ability for a range hands free use.

Powered by a single 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery (recommended for best runtimes) or two CR123A Primary Cells (good for survival kits thanks to the long shelf life).

The Nitecore LR12 has four brightness levels plus a flashing beacon mode. To turn the light on simply tighten the tail cap half a turn and loosen to turn off. Turning the LR12 on within a two second interval after it is turned off will switch the light to the next available mode:

Turbo: 1000 lumens - 1 hour runtime
High: 230 lumens - 6 hour runtime
Medium: 60 lumens - 24 hour runtime
Low: 1 lumen - 900 hour runtime
Beacon Mode: 1000 lumens

A high efficiency constant circuit provides continuous lighting without any flicker (PWM) to reduce eye strain when used for activities such as reading. Advanced Temperature Regulation adjusts the output according to the ambient environment, to maintain optimal performance without overheating.

Constructed from aerospace grade aluminium with a hard type III anodised finish, the LR12 is waterproof in accordance with IPX8, meaning it can be submerged in water up to two meters in depth and impact resistant to drops from up to 1 meter.
