28/05/2020Fast delivery as always. The knife was very hard to open at first. So loosened up the pivot and oiled the mechanism. It worked better, although it was still a tad difficult to open. I think the thumb studs are a bit too small for flicking the assisted opening of the knife. So purchased a new thumb stud which is bigger and now it opens like a switchblade!

The CRKT Flat Out 7016 is a sleek and smooth folding knife designed by watch and jewellery maker Matthew Lerch. The knife has an overall length of just over 8" and 4.4" when closed and weighs 3.6 oz.
The plain edge blade is made from high carbon, 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with two-tone finishes of satin and brush. The blade measures 3.57" in length and 0.122" in thickness.
The Flat Out handle is made from stainless steel with a bead blast finish. It features finger grooves along the bottom of the handle to provide a comfortable grip when in use.
The knife has CRKT's Outburst assisted opening which works by manually opening the blade up to 30 degrees and the Outburst mechanism will do the rest! When open, the Flat Out has a frame lock to keep the blade securely open and a powerful spring which keeps it firmly closed when not in use.
